The Premium Events Manager will develop a program for suites, loge boxes, and other premium experience areas for concerts and special arena events. Premium Events Manager - Thompson-Boling Arena On event days, the manager will be the face of TB Arena Premium. * As necessary, manage assigned events outside premium areas-examples include but are not limited to: graduations, university events, and special events. For event days where premium sales are not possible or less practical, the manager may be engaged to assist with other functions, such as guest services, promotional activities, touring production requests and similar. The manager will further be responsible for creating and tracking an annual budget to be approved by the Director, outlining targets and new growth strategies. Must be able to walk, stand, bend, climb stairs, lift fifty (50) pounds, and work on catwalks and man lifts at high elevations.Concert VIP tour functions will also be coordinated by the Manager.Must be able to use hand tools, power tools and ladders.Must possess a forklift operator certification or be capable of completing certification on the job.Ability to work irregular/extended hours including nights, weekends, holidays (required).Sufficient computer skills and knowledge to operate BMS and other automated systems including operation of personal computers using Windows and Microsoft Office software.Ability to cross-train in other trades and share this knowledge with engineers and mechanics.Knowledge of safe work practices, procedures, tools, equipment and techniques used in the trades.Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills required ability to interact with all levels of staff including management.Hold or be capable of acquiring upon hire an EPA Refrigerant Certification.Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.Hold or be capable of acquiring upon hire a master mechanical certificate, HVAC&R certificate gas and appliance certificate and a master plumber, journeyman or apprenticeship plumber’s certificate.Graduate of an accredited technical school or apprenticeship preferred.Must possess a high school diploma or GED or equivalent.Manage and direct day to day responsibilities of a team of interns.Repair and maintain exterior grounds, including snow and ice removal.Manage the painting and removal of soccer and football field markings.Ensure field equipment and lines adhere to Club and League standards.Maintain relationships between the stadium and third-party vendors.Collaborate with the Event Operations staff in setting up and converting locker rooms and premium spaces, field level, and other spaces as necessary to breaking down setup after event is completed.Oversee the conversion of spaces between events.Function as event engineer operating lighting and building systems while answering calls and making repairs as needed during events. ![]() Adhere to OSHA, NFPA and other applicable safety codes.Maintain a stadium-wide inventory management process. ![]() Follow procedures for use of Computerized Maintenance Management System.Perform minor patching and painting throughout the stadium as necessary. ![]() Operate auxiliary supply systems when breakdown occurs. Anticipate potential malfunctions or breakdowns and take appropriate action to prevent or minimize curtailment of services. Implement corrective actions and solutions. Investigate malfunctions or breakdowns of systems to diagnose causes and locate the source of the problem.
